The popularity of "Destination Weddings" has, unfortunately, resulted in
may Jewish couples being married in faraway locations by civil ceremony without
incorporating the traditional & essential Jewish ritual under the Chuppah.
For this reason, the LUIS DE TORRES SYNAGOGUE has a Government Licensed Marriage
Officer. Arrangements for Marriage, whether in our temple or any other
location in the Bahamas should be made in advance with our President.
The marriage will be a traditional Jewish Ceremony & licensed under the Laws of the
Commonwealth of the Bahamas (recognised throughout the rest of the world). |
